6B SUNDAY, AUGUST 6, 2023 GREEN BAY PRESS-GAZETTE Rosella was reunited with our dad Roland, her favorite dancing partner, on August 1, 2023. She passed away peacefully at the age of 92, with loving family by her side. She was born the seventh child of eight on December 10, 1930 to the late Clem and Sadie (Vanden Heuvel) Matzke in the town of Glenmore. She was a 1948 graduate of East DePere High School. Rosella married Roland B.

Schroeder on May 10, 1948 and together they raised 11 chil- dren. After 50 years of marriage, he preceded her in death on June 7, 1998. Rosella held many jobs throughout her life; home- maker, waitress, factory worker, store cashier, housecleaner, and in-home caregiver. She volunteered at the Denmark Community Cupboard, The Bridge Between and the Denmark Senior Center. Rosella was a long-time member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church-New Denmark and the Ladies Altar Society.

Our mom enjoyed going on gambling trips, playing bingo, cards, cribbage, and putting puzzles together. However, what Rosella loved the MOST was being a kind and patient Mom and Grandma to her large family. She will be greatly missed by her children: Ronald (special friend Diane) Schroeder, Denmark, Max (Angie) Schroeder, Denmark, Beverly (Gary) Kalies, Reedsville, Tom (Kathy) Schroeder, Greenleaf, Bonnie Loney) Resch, Chilton, Roger (Linda) Schroeder, Maribel, Becky (Tim) Miller, Den- mark, Rosann Koenig, Denmark, Marlene (Tom) Wenzlaff, Whitelaw, Bill (Chrissy) Schroeder, Denmark; 27 grandchildren; 39 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren, 2 sisters: Joyce Cohen, Gloria (Roger) Bougie, both of DePere; one sister-in-law, Joan Schroeder, Colorado. Rosella will be greeted in Heaven by Roland, daughter Barbara (Martin) Peters; daughter-in-law Sandra Schroeder; her parents Clem Sadie Matzke; brothers and sisters: Roland (Ethel) Matzke, Blossom (Milton) Krueger, June (John) Collins, Robert (Germaine) Matzke, Kenneth (Delores) Matzke, brothers and sisters-in-law: Bernard Cohen, Florelda (Walter) Krueger, Norman Schroeder, Merlin (Elizabeth) Schroeder, Elverta (Lawerence) Bittner, Orville (Lorraine) Schroeder, Marvin Schroeder, 1 infant grandson Curt, and 1 great-great-grandson Leon. Family and friends may visit at Cotter Funeral Home-Denmark (536 County Road R), on Monday, August 7, from until Friends are then asked to meet the family at Holy Trinity Catholic Church-New Denmark (6397 County Highway NN), for a funeral service at with Deacon David Scheuer Burial will follow in the Church Cemetery.

Belter, 88, Kewaunee, died Saturday, July 29, 2023, at a Green Bay hos- pital following a short illness. She was born in Suring on August 10, 1934, to the late Edwin and Lucille (Wood) Weier. On September 4, 1954, she married Robert E.

Belter Sr. in Suring, Wisconsin. He preceded her in death May 4, 1998. Lois was employed in various in- dustries, retiring from Emerson Electric Co. Sturgeon Bay.

Her enjoy- ments included knitting, crocheting, watching the Brewers, tending to her four legged companions, and spending time with family. Survivors included her six children, Robert (Pat- ty) Belter Jr, Bruce (Pam) Belter, Bonnie Micol- ichek, Richard Belter, Randy (Sherri) Belter, Rodney Belter; eleven grandchildren; great grandchildren; nieces and nephews further survive. Lois was preceded in death by, her parents; her husband; one son in law, Scott Micolichek; one grandson, Sam Belter; two great grandsons, Hunt- er Lock, Cameron Cree; one brother, Vincent (Sylvia and Earl Kahler) Weier one sister, Anita Weier; one brother in law, Lowell Belter. Belter Obituaries SEYMOUR Thomas J. Duffey, age 93, passed away at home on Monday, July 31, 2023. Tom was born on June 1, 1930 to the late Thomas and Virginia (Vandenberg) Duffey. Tom was united in marriage to Ann (Phyllis) Vanden Heuvel on October 7,1950. Together they raised 6 children.

Tom operated the family auto supply business for nearly 30 years. In September 1979 Tom and lives changed dramatically when they pur- chased the Seymour Times Press and took on the task of operating a small town weekly newspaper. Thanks to previous employees who were good and generous teachers, they succeeded in publishing the newspaper and a weekly shopper for ten years as well as operating a printing shop. Many other area residents helped them out through the years and they were well supported by local businesses. In 1985 Tom and Ann, along with two local business partners, established the local cable television company which was subsequently sold to what was then known as Time Warner Cable.

In 1992, Tom and Ann began living two lives, having purchased a condo in Fort Myers, Florida, spending six months there every year, continuing until 2015. During this period Tom served a long stint as condo association president. In this capacity, he was the peacemaker and a calming Tom was a man of many talents, and was skilled at card tricks, magic tricks, and juggling. While he never claimed to be a great athlete, he enjoyed many years of slow pitch softball, where he ranged the with his long strides. He was also active in barbershop singing, community theater, and the creation of the Seymour Historical Society and the Home of the Ham- burger.

Further interests of were antique and rare book collecting. He will be fondly remembered as a family man who took care of his family. Survivors include his children: Daniel K. (Linda), Oshkosh; Diane Lough- lin, Worcester, MA; Tom (Cheri), Appleton; Dave, De Pere; John (Jenny), Dodgeville; Lisa (Tom) Molland, Sparta; grandchildren: Mike, Ruby (Paul), Marina, Emma (Sam), Liam (Sarah), Tom (Amy), Collin (Abby), Jeremy (Hannah), Miranda and Mason, great grandchildren: Malachi, Noah, Oriana, Ava, Sylvia, Vivian, Weston, Alena, and Wyatt, niece Jean Duffey, nephew Mike Duffey, and special cousin Jon (Sharon) Dyer, Mike (Nancy) Hallada, Barbara (Bob) Diskowski, and everyone at Duffey Cousins Connect. Also surviving are birth relatives.

In addition to his parents, preceding him in death were his siblings Patrick Duffey and Staff Sgt. Daniel G. Duffey, sister-in-law Joan (Patrick) Duffey; his in-laws Tony and Madeline Vanden Heuvel; birth parents, Reuben and Verona Ott. A memorial service for Tom will be held at Muehl-Boettcher Funeral Home, 358 S. Main Street on Tuesday August 8, 2023 at 12 Noon with Chaplain Judy Koeune-Brown Memorial visitation will be at the funeral home from 10:00 AM until the time of services.

Duffey GREEN BAY Jan Ellen De Wane, age 62, Green Bay WI, passed away Wednesday, July 26, 2023, at a local hospital surrounded by her loved ones.

Jan was the daughter of Gordon and Elaine (Landry) De Wane and was born January 19, 1961 in Green Bay. Jan was happily employed by Schneider National in the recruiting Previously she worked at Associated Bank and earlier the Boston Store. She was a proud member of the Optimist Club. Jan took great joy with her siblings and their families, especially each newborn. She arranged many cookouts at her house for summer picnics.

Her hobbies included gardening, cooking, baking, crafting and reading. Weekends found her searching out rummage sales and visiting consign- ment shops. Jan was a devoted and member of St. Parish where she was a lector. She is survived by her siblings and their children: Michael De Wane (Steph- anie), Jennifer Palalay (Andrew); Patrick De Wane (Pamela), Brandon; Mary Sorenson (Dale), Paul (Nicole), Brian (Andrea); James De Wane (Susan), Kelly Pieschek (Curt), David; Teresa Delfosse (Jeffrey), Jeremy (Angela), Danielle (friend Jeremy), Jeffrey (friend Crystal); Ruth Van Ess (Louis), Christine Petersen (Bill), Brenda Greene (Andrew), Carrie Zvesper (J.P.); Mark De Wane (Marla), Kevin (Michelle), Casey (Kristin); Thomas De Wane (Diane), Sean (Carrie), Nicole, Eric, Corey Miller (Sarah), Allison Gagnon (Beau); Gordon De Wane, Jr.
